ClickUp, kept current from the conversation.

Ask what is open in a list, create the task, change the status, log the time, and Cedric proposes each change in ClickUp before it saves.

  • ClickUp holds the tasks, the comments and the hours; keeping all three current is the part nobody enjoys.
  • Ask in plain words: what is open in a list, what is overdue for one person, how many hours went to a client this month.
  • The task from the thread gets created with a description, due date, priority, assignees and tags, in the right list, on your yes.
  • Status changes, date changes, custom field values, comments and time entries are proposed first.
  • Some actions depend on your plan and permissions, requests are rate limited per workspace, and deleting a task is always confirmed.

What can a ClickUp AI agent do?

It finds where the work lives. Cedric browses your workspaces, spaces, folders and lists in ClickUp, and searches and filters tasks across a workspace or a list to build a status summary: what is open, what is overdue, who holds what. It posts and reads comments on tasks and replies in existing comment threads, so the discussion on a task can be read back in the channel where someone asked about it. That is AI project management in its everyday form.

It writes with a proposal first. Cedric creates tasks with descriptions, due dates, priorities, assignees and tags, and updates or closes existing ones, including changing status, dates and custom field values. It manages checklists, subtasks and task dependencies or relationships, reads and updates goals, and attaches files to tasks. A thread that ends in "split this in two and make the second one wait on the first" ends in two tasks with a dependency between them, once you say yes.

Time is the third thing. Cedric starts, stops and logs time entries and pulls time-tracking totals for a period, per person, per list or per client, so the monthly hours question has an answer without an export. Requests are rate limited per workspace, some actions depend on your ClickUp plan and permissions, and creating, editing or deleting tasks changes shared team data, so each is confirmed.

Monthly hours

The totals, and the task that came out of them.

Mei Tanaka9:14 AM

@Cedric how many hours did we log on the Alder Group list in August, by person? And create a task in that list for the September retainer report, assign it to me, due the 5th, priority high.

CedricAPP9:15 AM

Alder Group, 1 to 31 August: 96.5 hours logged. By person: Mei 41.0, Jonas 33.5, Sanjay 22.0. Retainer is 90 hours, so 6.5 over. Proposed: a task "September retainer report" in the Alder Group list, assignee you, due Friday 5 September, priority High, tag reporting, with the August totals in the description. Nothing saved yet.

Connect ClickUp in a minute

No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.

  1. 01

Install Cedric where your team talks

One click. It joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.

  2. 02

    Connect ClickUp from the dashboard

Open the Integrations page and sign in with ClickUp on its own screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.

A fresh connection can look but not touch: read-only until you say otherwise.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain words

Back in the channel, try it: "what is overdue in the client work space?". You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the ClickUp actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.

Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.

  4. 04

    Let it become routine

Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold ClickUp into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.

Better in company

Hours logged in ClickUp become an invoice in Stripe; ask Cedric for the month's totals per client and the invoice it proposes carries them. The numbers can also land in Google Sheets next to the retainer.

The client call runs in Google Meet and its decisions belong in ClickUp; Cedric can turn the notes into tasks in the right list in the same reply, and draft the recap for Gmail.

Where the limits are

ClickUp is a catalog connection, not a built-in playbook. Cedric works from what the ClickUp connection can read and do; ask in plain words and it says what it can reach there, and what it cannot.

Some actions depend on your plan and permissions. Custom fields, goals, time tracking and dependencies are available where your ClickUp plan and the connected user's permissions allow them. Cedric says so when a request needs something the workspace does not have.

Creating, editing or deleting tasks changes shared team data. Cedric proposes the exact change and waits; deletion is always confirmed, and closing a task is what it proposes when work is done. Requests are also rate limited per workspace.

Cedric sees what the ClickUp connection grants and nothing more. Access is scoped, logged, and revocable from the dashboard, effective immediately.

Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a human yes. That is the design, not a beta caveat.

FAQ

Yes. ClickUp is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog: connect it once from the dashboard, on ClickUp's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. There is no built-in playbook for it, so Cedric works from what the connection can read and do, and tells you when something is out of reach.

No. Automations you set up in ClickUp keep running on status changes and other triggers. Cedric creates and updates tasks the way a member would, and your automations react to those saves as usual.

Yes. It starts and stops a timer on a task, logs an entry after the fact, and pulls totals for a period by person, list or client. Logging time is a write, so it is proposed before it is saved.

Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.

Yes, and it starts that way: a fresh connection can look but not touch until you say otherwise. Even with write access granted, anything that changes or sends waits for an approval.

Every workspace starts with $50 in credits, free, no card. Each task consumes credits in proportion to the work involved. See pricing for the plans.
