Help Scout, from the conversation.

Ask for the inbox, read the thread, draft the reply. Cedric proposes the answer in Help Scout and waits for your yes.

  • Help Scout is a shared inbox, and the daily question is what is waiting and for whom.
  • Ask in plain words: conversations across mailboxes by status, tag, assignee or date, with the full history including internal notes.
  • Cedric drafts the reply, adds a private note, or starts a new outbound conversation with a customer.
  • Owner, status, mailbox and tags can be changed, and customer records kept current with emails, phone numbers and custom properties.
  • Replies, status changes and edits to a customer record are visible to customers or teammates, so each one waits for your yes.

What can a Help Scout AI agent do?

A shared inbox raises one question all day: what is waiting, and for whom. A Help Scout AI agent answers it from the conversation. Cedric searches and lists conversations across mailboxes, filtered by status, tag, assignee or date, and reads a conversation's full history, the customer's messages, the agents' replies and the internal notes between them. It lists mailboxes, folders, teammates and custom fields, so it knows where work should go.

Then it does the work. Cedric drafts a reply to the customer or a private note for the team, and starts a new conversation when the team needs to reach out first. It changes a conversation's state: assigns an owner, moves it to another mailbox, changes its status, adds or removes tags. Every reply and every status change is proposed before it happens, which is what lets an operations assistant sit in an inbox customers are reading.

The record and the numbers come along. Cedric looks up and maintains customer records, with emails, phone numbers and custom properties, and retrieves the support reports, volume, response times and happiness ratings, for the period a report covers. The API enforces a per-minute request limit, so a very large search is paged rather than pulled in one go.

The overdue check

Three waiting too long, one answered, one yes.

@Cedric anything in the Sales mailbox older than two days with no reply? Answer the Orbita one, they asked for the annual price.

CedricAPP9:15 AM

Three conversations in Sales have waited more than two days: Orbita (annual pricing, 3 days, unassigned), Pellworm Ltd (invoice question, 2 days, assigned to Théo) and a partnership pitch (4 days). Draft reply to Orbita: the annual plan at 20 seats, the per-seat rate, the two-month saving against monthly, and an offer to set up a call. Proposed alongside: assign the conversation to you and tag it pricing.

Send the reply to Orbita?

Connect Help Scout in a minute

No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.

  1. 01

Install Cedric where your team talks

One click. It joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.

  2. 02

Connect Help Scout from the dashboard

Open the Integrations page and sign in with Help Scout on its own screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.

A fresh connection can look but not touch: read-only until you say otherwise.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain words

Back in the channel, try it: "what is waiting in the support mailbox right now?". You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the Help Scout actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.

Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.

  4. 04

    Let it become routine

Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold Help Scout into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.

Better in company

The customer writing in is a deal in HubSpot and a subscription in Stripe. Cedric reads all three in one ask, so the reply knows the plan and the last invoice before it is drafted.

Support numbers belong in the weekly report: volume, response times and happiness ratings can land in a Google Sheets tab or a Notion page on cadence, in the same shape each week.

Where the limits are

Help Scout is a catalog connection, not a built-in playbook. Cedric works from what the Help Scout connection can read and do; ask in plain words and it says what it can reach there, and what it cannot.

Replies and status changes are visible. Sending a reply, changing a conversation's status or editing a customer record is seen by customers or teammates, so Cedric asks every time.

Help Scout's per-minute limit applies. The API enforces a per-minute request limit, so a very large search is paged rather than pulled in one go.

Cedric sees what the Help Scout connection grants and nothing more. Access is scoped, logged, and revocable from the dashboard, effective immediately.

Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a human yes. That is the design, not a beta caveat.

FAQ

Yes. Help Scout is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog: connect it once from the dashboard, on Help Scout's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. There is no built-in playbook for it, so Cedric works from what the connection can read and do, and tells you when something is out of reach.

No. Your workflows keep running. Cedric works from the conversation on top of them: it finds, reads, drafts and routes the way a teammate with the same permissions would, and asks before any reply goes out.

Yes. It retrieves the support reports, volume, response times and happiness ratings, for the period you name, and can post them on a schedule so the numbers arrive without anyone exporting.

Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.

Yes, and it starts that way: a fresh connection can look but not touch until you say otherwise. Even with write access granted, anything that changes or sends waits for an approval.
