Excel, read and updated from the chat.
Ask what the numbers say, add this week's rows, build the chart. Cedric shows each edit and waits for your yes.
100K credits ($50) through Slack, Teams, Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp, 50K ($25) with Google. No card needed.
- Ask which region is behind plan, or what changed since last week.
- Cedric reads the cells an answer needs and names them in the reply.
- He adds rows, fills tables, and sorts and filters them. Each edit waits for your yes.
- He builds the chart and posts the picture in the channel.
- Any workbook stored in your Microsoft account, after one sign-in.
What can an Excel AI agent do?
Most questions about a workbook are small. Which region missed plan in Q3? What did we bill Fennick Rail in August? Cedric finds the file in your Microsoft account, lists its worksheets and reads the values and formulas in the range he needs. Then he answers in the channel and names the cells he read.
Edits are the other half. He writes values and formulas, inserts rows and columns, creates tables and adds rows to them, then sorts and filters. He can build or update a chart and read the chart image back, so the Monday numbers arrive in the channel as a picture. That is the weekly report without the copy and paste.
An Excel edit overwrites what was in the cells, and that is hard to undo. So Cedric shows the range and the new values before he saves anything. Macros and very large workbooks stay in Excel itself.

Sales tracker.xlsx, sheet Weekly. The last row is week 38. I will add week 39 with 214 signups and 31 trials, extend the line chart and post it here.

Connect Excel in a minute
No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.
- 01
Install Cedric where your team talks
One click. He joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.
- 02
Connect Excel from the dashboard
Open the Integrations page, pick Excel and sign in on its own sign-in screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.
Pick Read-only when you connect if you only want him reading. You can switch it later.
- 03
Ask in plain words
Back in the channel, try it: "which region is behind plan in the Q3 budget workbook?" You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the Excel actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.
Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.
- 04
Let it become routine
Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold Excel into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.
Better in company
Some teams keep their numbers in Google Sheets and some in Excel. Cedric reads both, so one ask can put a sheet next to a workbook and name the differences.
The rows often start somewhere else. A deal closes in HubSpot, and Cedric proposes the new row for the tracker with the amount and the date from the deal.
Worth knowing
Excel comes from Cedric's catalog of 3,200+ apps. He works from what the Excel connection can read and do, the same list its card shows in your dashboard.
An edit overwrites the cells it touches. Cedric shows the range and the new values, and saves on your yes.
The connection works on workbooks in your Microsoft account. Macros and very large workbooks stay in Excel itself.
The Excel connection sets the scope. Cedric sees what it grants. Access is logged, and you can revoke it from the dashboard at any time.
Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a person to approve.
FAQ
Yes. Excel is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog. Connect it once from the dashboard, on Excel's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. Cedric picks the actions an ask needs from what the connection can read and do, with no fields to map.
There is no add-in to install. Cedric works on the workbook through the connection and answers in your team's chat. Open the file whenever you like, and his approved edits are already there.
Yes. He writes formulas into cells, runs Excel's built-in worksheet functions and recalculates the workbook after a change. Each write is shown to you first.
Excel connects on its own. The catalog also has a Microsoft 365 connection for mail, calendar, files, contacts and tasks in one sign-in.
Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.
Yes. Pick Read-only when you connect, or switch it later on the Integrations page. With write access, anything that changes or sends still waits for an approval.
Every workspace starts with 100,000 free credits (worth $50) on sign-up, no card. Plans start at $19 a month for the whole team, no seats. Each task uses credits in proportion to the work. See pricing.
