Cedric creates a new document with a title and starting content, and he reads an existing document's full text and structure, headings, tables and lists included, so a question like "what does the brief say about timing" is answered from the page rather than from memory.
Editing is precise rather than wholesale. Cedric inserts, replaces or deletes text at a specific place in the document, and finds and replaces a word or phrase throughout it. He applies formatting such as bold, italics, font size, color, alignment and paragraph styles, adds and edits tables, bulleted or numbered lists, page breaks, headers and footers, and inserts images and hyperlinks. He can also create named sections that are updated later, which is how the weekly report can land in the same document each week with only the numbers changed.
Several edits can be batched so the document is revised in one consistent pass rather than a series of half-states. The connection works only with documents it is given: it cannot browse, search, share, rename or comment on files, so the link comes from you or from another connection. Edits are subject to usage limits and can overwrite existing content, which is why each one is shown before it is applied.
