Close, without leaving the thread.

Ask for the lead, read what happened, move the opportunity or queue the sequence, and Cedric proposes the change in Close before it runs.

  • Close keeps the calls, emails and texts on the lead; the question is usually what happened and what is next.
  • Ask with a saved view or in plain words: leads untouched for two weeks, everything on one company, the opportunities closing this month.
  • Cedric reads the activity history on a lead, calls, notes, emails and texts, and summarizes it before the next conversation.
  • Opportunities move through stages with value, confidence and close date, and tasks get created, completed or reassigned, on your yes.
  • Bulk edits and deletions are hard to undo, so Cedric confirms them, and calls or emails still send through your connected accounts.

What can a Close AI agent do?

Reading first. Cedric searches leads, contacts and companies in Close using your saved views or an ad-hoc query, and pulls the activity history tied to a lead: the calls, notes, emails and text messages, in order. It lists team members, groups, pipelines and custom field definitions, which is how a request like "the leads in Sarah's group with no activity since August" is answered against your own setup. For a date range it pulls activity counts and opportunity summaries, the numbers a Monday review usually needs.

Then the record. Cedric creates and updates lead records, contact details, addresses and custom fields. It tracks opportunities through pipeline stages, including value, confidence and expected close date. It creates, completes and reassigns tasks and reminders for reps, and adds leads to or removes them from email sequences and follow-up workflows. Each of these comes back as a proposal first, which is what keeping the CRM current looks like when nobody has to type into it after every call.

One boundary is worth stating plainly. Cedric does not invent a call or an email. Phone calls and emails still go out through the accounts connected to Close, so a sequence Cedric adds a lead to sends through your configured email account, on your schedule, and Cedric asks before adding anyone.

Create the task in Close?

Looked up

Leads, contacts and companies through saved views or a plain question, with the activity history read back in order.

Moved

Opportunities through stages with value, confidence and close date, and tasks created, completed or reassigned, on your yes.

Queued

A lead added to or removed from an email sequence or follow-up workflow, proposed first, sent through your own accounts.

Connect Close in a minute

No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.

  1. 01

Install Cedric where your team talks

One click. It joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.

  2. 02

    Connect Close from the dashboard

Open the Integrations page and sign in with Close on its own screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.

A fresh connection can look but not touch: read-only until you say otherwise.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain words

Back in the channel, try it: "which leads have had no activity in two weeks?". You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the Close actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.

Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.

  4. 04

    Let it become routine

Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold Close into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.

Better in company

A demo booked in Google Calendar and a lead in Close are the same conversation. Ask Cedric to prepare for the next call and it reads the invite, summarizes the Close history and proposes the task that should follow.

The weekly numbers, activity counts and opportunity summaries by rep, can land in Google Sheets next to the targets, or in a Notion page the team already reads, from one ask.

Where the limits are

Close is a catalog connection, not a built-in playbook. Cedric works from what the Close connection can read and do; ask in plain words and it says what it can reach there, and what it cannot.

Bulk edits and deletions are hard to undo. Cedric can update many leads at once or remove records, and it confirms the exact set before doing either. Nothing is deleted in bulk on a guess.

Calls and emails still send through your connected accounts. Cedric never invents a call or an email; adding a lead to a sequence means your configured account sends it, and Cedric asks first. Requests are also rate limited.

Cedric sees what the Close connection grants and nothing more. Access is scoped, logged, and revocable from the dashboard, effective immediately.

Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a human yes. That is the design, not a beta caveat.

FAQ

Yes. Close is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog: connect it once from the dashboard, on Close's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. There is no built-in playbook for it, so Cedric works from what the connection can read and do, and tells you when something is out of reach.

No. Your sequences keep running as you built them. Cedric adds a lead to one or removes it, on your yes, and the sending itself still happens through the email account connected to Close.

Yes, the activity history that Close stores on the lead: calls, notes, emails and text messages. It reads them to summarize what happened before a call, and can log a new note or call after one.

Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.

Yes, and it starts that way: a fresh connection can look but not touch until you say otherwise. Even with write access granted, anything that changes or sends waits for an approval.

Every workspace starts with $50 in credits, free, no card. Each task consumes credits in proportion to the work involved. See pricing for the plans.
