  • Ask who is still waiting on a reply, or what you told Lena in March.
  • Cedric reads the whole thread in Outlook, attachments listed, and answers with the dates.
  • Replies wait as drafts in Outlook until someone says send.
  • He checks free and busy times, sends the invite and moves the meeting. Invitations go out on your yes.
  • Mail and calendar are two connections. Start with one and add the other later.

What can an Outlook AI assistant do?

Most of what a team wants from Outlook is an answer. Who emailed about the renewal? What did we tell Lena in March? Cedric searches the inbox and your other folders by sender, subject, date or keyword. He reads the full message with its recipients and attachment list, then answers in the channel with the dates.

Cedric also drafts replies, reply-alls and forwards and saves them as drafts in Outlook. They go out when someone approves them. He files mail too, moving it to a folder, flagging it, marking it read or giving it a category.

The calendar is its own connection. With it, Cedric lists your calendars, shared ones included, checks when people are free and creates, moves or cancels meetings. Each of those reaches real attendees, so it comes back as a preview first. Mail and calendar together are the core of an executive assistant.

@Cedric who emailed about the Vantor renewal last week and still has no answer? Draft the replies.

Two threads. Marc Keller asked on Tuesday for the updated quote. Lena Wu asked on Wednesday whether SSO is included. Both replies are drafted in Outlook, not sent.

Connect Outlook in a minute

No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.

  1. 01

Install Cedric where your team talks

One click. He joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.

  2. 02

    Connect Outlook from the dashboard

Open the Integrations page, pick Outlook and sign in on its own sign-in screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.

Pick Read-only when you connect if you only want him reading. You can switch it later.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain words

Back in the channel, try it: "who is waiting on a reply from us?" You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the Outlook actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.

Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.

  4. 04

    Let it become routine

Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold Outlook into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.

Better in company

Some of the team lives in Gmail and some in Outlook. Connect both and ask once. Cedric searches each inbox and says which account every thread came from.

The number a reply needs often sits in a workbook. Cedric reads the range in Excel and puts the figure in the draft, so nobody opens the file to copy it.

Worth knowing

Outlook comes from Cedric's catalog of 3,200+ apps. He works from what the Outlook connection can read and do, the same list its card shows in your dashboard.

Mail and calendar connect separately. Each is its own app in the catalog, so a team can start with the inbox and add the calendar later.

Some Microsoft 365 organisations require an administrator to approve new apps. If yours does, ask them before you connect.

A sent email or a cancelled meeting reaches people at once. Cedric shows the message or the change first and acts on your yes.

The Outlook connection sets the scope. Cedric sees what it grants. Access is logged, and you can revoke it from the dashboard at any time.

Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a person to approve.

FAQ

Yes. Outlook is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog. Connect it once from the dashboard, on Outlook's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. Cedric picks the actions an ask needs from what the connection can read and do, with no fields to map.

Yes. Connect both, and give each account a short name if you have several. Cedric searches the inboxes an ask needs and says which account each answer came from.

Yes. Outlook in a Microsoft 365 work account connects the same way. The catalog also has a single Microsoft 365 connection for mail, calendar, files, contacts and tasks, if you would rather sign in once.

No. He drafts the reply and saves it in Outlook, and it goes out when a person approves it. Invitations and cancellations work the same way. See how approvals work.

Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.

Yes. Pick Read-only when you connect, or switch it later on the Integrations page. With write access, anything that changes or sends still waits for an approval.

Every workspace starts with 100,000 free credits (worth $50) on sign-up, no card. Plans start at $19 a month for the whole team, no seats. Each task uses credits in proportion to the work. See pricing.
