This explains what information Cedric handles, how it's used, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain language on purpose. It covers this website (meet-cedric.com) and the Cedric service (app.meet-cedric.com). By using Cedric, you agree to it.
Who we are
Cedric is operated by SFF S26 AG, a Swiss company, which is the controller of the personal data described on this page. Our office is at Westhive Zürich Hardturm, Hardturmstrasse 161, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland. For anything privacy related, write to sales@meet-cedric.com.
Early access
Cedric is in early access, and the way we handle data is still maturing alongside the product. We'll keep this page current as things settle. If anything here matters a great deal to you, please reach out before relying on it.
What we handle
To do its job, Cedric works with: the messages and requests you send it; your account and workspace details (name, email, the workspace it lives in); the accounts and tools you choose to connect and the information it needs from them to complete a task; and basic technical information about how the service is used (logs, task history, approximate usage) so we can keep it running, secure, and improving. Cedric also remembers useful context between conversations so it can be a better teammate over time. You can view and delete that memory.
How we use it, and on what basis
We use your information to do the work you ask, to run and secure the service, to bill for it, and to make Cedric better. Your messages are processed to produce Cedric's replies. In legal terms: we process data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service, and on your consent where you connect an optional tool (which you can withdraw by disconnecting it). We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to advertise to you.
Connected tools and platforms
When you connect a tool, or use Cedric on a platform like Slack, Telegram, Discord, or WhatsApp, information flows between Cedric and that service so it can act on your behalf. Those services have their own privacy terms, and what you route through them is handled under theirs as well. Your connections are scoped to what a task needs, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google or connect Google tools (such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, or Sheets), Cedric accesses only the data needed for the tasks you ask of it: reading and sending the email you tell it to handle, managing the events you ask it to book, working with the files and sheets you point it at. That data is used to perform those tasks and for nothing else. It is not used for advertising, and it is not used to develop or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Humans do not read it except with your permission, for security reasons, or where the law requires. You can withdraw Cedric's access at any time from your dashboard or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Cedric's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand which pages and which ads bring people to Cedric. Both set cookies in your browser. Analytics measures visits: which pages, how long, roughly where in the world, with your IP address shortened before it is stored. Ads records that a visit came from one of our ads and whether it led to an install or a sign-up. We use them to decide where to spend, we do not use them to build a profile of you, and we never sell what they collect.
Nothing runs until you choose. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland both are off when you arrive and stay off unless you accept. Everywhere else they start on and the banner turns them off. Declining is one click and costs you nothing on this site.
The other cookies have nothing to do with advertising. The product at app.meet-cedric.com sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, plus one small convenience hint on the shared domain holding the names of workspaces your browser signed into, so this site can offer "open your workspace" instead of "log in". It identifies no one and can be cleared like any cookie.
Changed your mind? . You can also turn Google Analytics off across every site you visit with Google's opt-out add-on.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where it's needed to run the service. A small number of trusted providers help us operate Cedric (cloud hosting, the AI processing behind Cedric's replies, communications, payments) and may handle data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. The platforms and tools you connect receive what a task requires, as described above. We may also share information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we don't share your information with others, and we never sell it.
Where it's processed
Cedric runs on infrastructure in Europe, and some of our providers process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data leaves Switzerland or the EU, we rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with those providers.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as you use Cedric and as needed to run the service. You stay in control: you can delete Cedric's memory, disconnect any tool, and ask us to remove your information. Some records may be kept where we're required to, or to keep the service secure.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask for it in a portable format, and object to or restrict certain processing. Email sales@meet-cedric.com and we'll act on it. If you're unhappy with how we handled something, you can complain to your data protection authority: in Switzerland the FDPIC, in the EU the supervisory authority of your country.
Children
Cedric is a workplace tool and isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children; if you believe we have, tell us and we'll delete it.
Security, and your own risk
We take reasonable care to protect your information. That said, Cedric is early access, and you use it at your own risk. While we're in this phase, we'd gently suggest not putting your most sensitive or irreplaceable information into it, and keeping your own copies of anything important. No online service can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Changes
We may update this page as Cedric grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use Cedric after a change means you're okay with the new version.
