monday.com boards, updated from the thread.

Ask what is on the board, change the status, post the update, and Cedric proposes each change in monday.com before it saves.

  • A monday.com board is a set of columns someone has to keep filling in, usually after the fact.
  • Ask in plain words: what is Stuck on a board, what is due this week, which items have nobody in the People column.
  • The item from the thread gets created in the right group, with its status, dates, people and numbers set, on your yes.
  • Updates and replies get posted on an item, with teammates mentioned so they are notified.
  • Very large board reads may be throttled, and deleting items or boards is confirmed every time.

What can a monday.com AI agent do?

It reads the board the way you would. Cedric lists your workspaces, boards, groups and the columns each board uses in monday.com, and retrieves items with their column values, subitems and linked files or docs. It searches and filters items across boards by column values or keywords, so "everything marked Stuck with a due date this week, across the client boards" comes back as a list in the thread. It looks up users and teams to see who owns or is assigned to a piece of work, which is the raw material of a weekly report nobody had to assemble.

It writes with a proposal first. Cedric creates new items and subitems on a board and places them in the right group, and updates column values such as status, dates, people, numbers and text on existing items. It moves, duplicates, archives or deletes items and groups when a board needs cleaning up. It posts updates and replies on an item and mentions teammates to notify them, so the decision made in the channel gets recorded where the board's owner will see it.

Two things monday.com imposes. Usage is metered by how heavy each request is, so a very large board read may be throttled and Cedric pages it rather than pulling everything at once. And deleting items or boards is a destructive action, so Cedric confirms it every time; archiving is what it proposes by default.

Monday morning

What is stuck, and the update that unsticks it.

Lucas Bernard9:14 AM

@Cedric what is marked Stuck on the Client Projects board? For the Verano site item, set the status to Working on it, move the due date to the 19th, and post an update mentioning Camille that the assets arrived.

CedricAPP9:15 AM

Client Projects, Status column: 3 items Stuck. "Verano site" (group Q3, owner Camille, due 12 September, stuck since 28 August), "Halden brand book" (owner you, waiting on client sign-off), "Onboarding video" (no one in People). Proposed on "Verano site": Status to Working on it, Due date to 19 September, and an update "@Camille the assets arrived this morning, unblocked" posted on the item. Nothing saved yet.

No setup project, no workflow builder, no field mapping. The flow is the same for every tool Cedric connects to.

  1. 01

Install Cedric where your team talks

One click. It joins your Slack like any other member, and everyone shares the same Cedric.

  2. 02

    Connect monday.com from the dashboard

Open the Integrations page and sign in with monday.com on its own screen. Cedric never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke the connection in one click at any time.

A fresh connection can look but not touch: read-only until you say otherwise.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain words

Back in the channel, try it: "what is marked stuck on the client projects board?". You describe the outcome; Cedric picks the monday.com actions the ask needs. There is nothing to configure.

Connect for the whole workspace so the team shares it, or keep the connection personal. Two accounts are fine too; each gets a short name.

  4. 04

    Let it become routine

Schedule the recurring version of the ask, and let Cedric fold monday.com into bigger jobs that cross your other tools. Anything that would leave your workspace still comes back as a preview to approve first.

Better in company

The client's deal closes in HubSpot and the delivery board starts in monday.com; ask Cedric to create the project items from the deal and it proposes the group, the items and the owners in one reply.

A due date on a board and an event in Google Calendar describe the same deadline, and the status summary can be posted to a Notion page the client reads, from the same ask.

Where the limits are

monday.com is a catalog connection, not a built-in playbook. Cedric works from what the monday.com connection can read and do; ask in plain words and it says what it can reach there, and what it cannot.

Usage is metered by request weight. A very large board read may be throttled, so Cedric pages a big board rather than pulling every item at once, and a summary across many boards takes longer than one.

Deleting items or boards is confirmed every time. Cedric can delete, and shows exactly what it will remove first. Archiving is reversible and is what it proposes when cleaning up.

Cedric sees what the monday.com connection grants and nothing more. Access is scoped, logged, and revocable from the dashboard, effective immediately.

Nothing sends itself. An email, a post, a change to a record: anything with consequences comes back as a preview for a human yes. That is the design, not a beta caveat.

FAQ

Yes. monday.com is one of the 3,200+ apps in Cedric's catalog: connect it once from the dashboard, on monday.com's own sign-in screen, and ask in plain words. There is no built-in playbook for it, so Cedric works from what the connection can read and do, and tells you when something is out of reach.

No. Automations you built on a board keep firing when a status or a date changes. Cedric updates column values the way a board member would, and your automations react to those changes as they normally do.

Yes. When it retrieves an item it can include the subitems and the files or docs linked to it, and it can create subitems under an item when work needs splitting. Each new item is proposed before it is created.

Connect it for the whole workspace and everyone shares it, with one person authorising once. A connection you would rather not share, a personal inbox for instance, can stay personal to you.

Yes, and it starts that way: a fresh connection can look but not touch until you say otherwise. Even with write access granted, anything that changes or sends waits for an approval.
