What can a Google Chat AI agent do?
Google Chat is often the other chat, the one a partner or a department on Google Workspace uses. Cedric lives in Slack, Telegram or Discord, and this connection lets him reach Google Chat on your behalf. He lists the spaces and direct conversations the connected account belongs to, looks up details about any one of them, reads the recent messages in a space and fetches the full text of a specific message. Membership decides what is visible. Cedric reaches only the spaces and direct conversations the connected account, or his assistant identity, is a member of; a space he has not been added to does not exist for him.
Some actions cannot be undone. Creating a space, removing a member or deleting a message is permanent, so each is confirmed first, and message sending is rate limited on Google's side.
