Two assistants for your inbox. One teammate for the work.

Fyxer and Superhuman are both bought per person, to make that person faster. Cedric is bought once, for what the team has to get done. Both rivals were read on their own sites on 11 September 2026.

  • Fyxer calls itself "your executive assistant across all your conversations". It sorts the inbox, drafts replies in your tone, sends a notetaker to meetings and schedules.
  • Superhuman is a very fast email client with an agent layer, Go, that works beside you across your apps.
  • Both charge per user, so the bill grows with headcount.
  • Cedric is one teammate the whole team shares. His memory belongs to the workspace rather than to one mailbox.
  • The line is scope. Those two work on your inbox and calendar; Cedric works across the company's tools.

What each one actually is

Fyxer leads with "Get ahead of your inbox". It highlights what matters, sorts the rest and drafts follow-ups "in your tone". Its notetaker joins meetings to summarize and pull out next steps, it schedules across time zones, and Fyxer Chat lets you "ask Fyxer about any client, project or decision". It connects to Gmail, Outlook, both calendars, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack and Microsoft Teams, with HubSpot on Professional, and needs "no configuration".

Superhuman sells the fastest place to process email, plus Superhuman Go, "the AI assistant and agent platform that works everywhere you work", and Superhuman Docs. The detail is on our Superhuman comparison.

Cedric works from the chat where the team already talks. The mailbox is one of the tools he reaches, next to the calendar, the CRM, billing and the documents. You ask for an outcome, and he reads the thread, checks the calendar, updates the record and drafts the reply. Anything he would send, change or spend waits for a person's yes.

So these are different purchases. Two are bought so that a person is faster. The third is bought so that work gets finished.

Hannah Berg3:41 PM

@Cedric you were on the Marek renewal call. Do the follow-up.

CedricAPP3:42 PM

Renewal call with Marek & Co, 32 minutes. The recap is drafted in your voice: annual billing from January, the March claim credited, the SLA wording before signing. Three items are ready to file: the quote with the SLA (you, Thursday), the claim credit (finance, Friday) and the SLA wording to legal (Devin, Wednesday). Tuesday at 10:00 is free on your calendar for the next call.

Send the recap to Marek, file the three items, send the invite?

In Fyxer

Its notetaker joins the call, pulls out next steps and drafts the follow-up in your tone. Scheduling the next call is part of the package.

In Superhuman

Go's Email Assistant drafts the recap in your voice, inside the inbox you already work from.

In Cedric

The recap, the three tasks and the invite came from one call, in the team's channel. One yes sends all three.

The question that decides it

Ask who has the problem. If it is one person with an unmanageable inbox, buy them an assistant for it. Fyxer and Superhuman both do that well, and they pay back more the longer you spend in email.

If the problem belongs to the company, the sum changes. Marek's follow-up is more than an email: it needs the call, the task tracker, the calendar and someone to chase the owners. A per-user assistant helps the person holding the thread. A shared teammate does the job and leaves the record where the next colleague will find it.

Seat pricing is the practical version of the same point. It suits a tool each person holds, and the bill tracks headcount. Cedric is priced as one colleague, so the tenth person to start asking adds nothing.

Plenty of teams end up with both: an inbox assistant for the two people who live in email, and Cedric for the work the team keeps dropping between tools. The AI email assistant page shows Cedric on a shared inbox.

Where each one fits

Fyxer suits someone who wants their own inbox handled with no setup. The notetaker, the drafts in your tone and the scheduling make a coherent package for one busy professional.

Superhuman suits you if speed in email is itself the goal. It is the best client of its kind, and Go carries that help across the apps you work in.

Cedric suits work that belongs to a team: when the answer needs the CRM as well as the thread, and a colleague should be able to ask what happened.

If email is the whole problem, one of the first two is the better buy, and this page would rather say so.

FAQ

Yes. He sits in the call as a named guest on Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams. After the call he keeps chasing: an owner who goes quiet gets a nudge, and you hear about it if they stay quiet.

Cedric reads the mailbox when a job needs it and writes from it for you. If a sorted, triaged inbox is the goal, Fyxer or Superhuman is built for exactly that.

Ten Fyxer Starter users billed yearly come to $225 a month, and ten Superhuman Starter members to $250. Cedric's Starter plan costs the same for ten people as for one.

Yes, and he improves as you correct him. He keeps those corrections for the whole workspace rather than for one mailbox.

You add him to your chat app and connect each tool the first time a job needs it, about a minute each. After that you write to him in plain language.
